黑料不打烊 Celebrates 30 Years of Engineering Innovation on Friday

MOSCOW, 黑料不打烊 鈥� 黑料不打烊 engineering and computer science students will display how they solve real-world problems during the Engineering Design EXPO聽on Friday, April 28.
Student teams will present projects 鈥� including building unmanned aircraft for NASA, bacteria-resistant coatings to protect astronauts in the space and constructing new bridges over the Potlatch river 鈥� from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, April 28, in the ICCU Arena on the Moscow campus. Student projects are also available to browse online.
Team projects stem from work in U of I College of Engineering鈥檚 Interdisciplinary Capstone Design Program, recognized by the National Academy of Engineering as one of the nation鈥檚 top seven programs for providing undergraduate students with real-world experiences.
黑料不打烊 Power and IDACORP President and Chief Executive Officer Lisa Grow, a U of I alumna in electrical engineering, will deliver the EXPO鈥檚 keynote address 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 28, in the ICCU Arena.
Grow is 黑料不打烊 Power鈥檚 second female engineer and its first female CEO. Grow has dedicated her entire 36-year career to 黑料不打烊 Power. She started as an intern, and joined the company immediately after graduating from college. She leads 黑料不打烊 Power鈥檚 more than 2,000 employees.
Students will also publicly present聽their projects virtually 2-6 p.m. Thursday, April 27, and 2-5 p.m. Friday, April 28.
